Pepper (Piper Nigrum) is the fruit of a flowering vine family named ‘Piperaceae’. White pepper is called “safed mirch” in Hindi. The word Pepper comes from a Sanskrit word “Pippali” meaning berry. White Pepper is made from Black Pepper by removing the outer skin called ‘pericarp’.
